12/7/2015 North Carolina's October Employment Figures Released
  RALEIGH — The state’s seasonally adjusted October unemployment rate was 5.7 percent, decreasing 0.1 of a percentage point from September’s revised rate. The national rate declined 0.1 of a percentage point to 5.0 percent. North Carolina’s October 2015 unemployment rate was unchanged from a year ago. The number of people employed increased 10,871 over the month to 4,488,328 and increased 124,146 over the year. The number of people unemployed decreased 2,042 over the month to 273,645, and increased 11,591 over the year.  read more...

  RALEIGH — The state’s seasonally adjusted September unemployment rate was 5.8 percent, decreasing 0.1 of a percentage point from August’s revised rate. The national rate remained unchanged at 5.1 percent. North Carolina’s September 2015 unemployment rate was unchanged from a year ago. The number of people employed increased 3,670 over the month to 4,476,319 and increased 118,509 over the year. The number of people unemployed decreased 4,664 over the month to 276,072, and increased 7,090 over the year.  read more...

  RALEIGH — The state’s seasonally adjusted August unemployment rate was 5.9 percent, remaining unchanged from July’s revised rate. The national rate declined 0.2 of a percentage point to 5.1 percent. North Carolina’s August 2015 unemployment rate was 0.1 of a percentage point lower than a year ago. The number of people employed decreased 8,844 over the month to 4,473,083, and increased 121,361 over the year.   RALEIGH — The state's seasonally adjusted July unemployment rate was 5.9 percent, increasing 0.1 of a percentage point from June's revised rate. The national rate remained unchanged at 5.3 percent. North Carolina's July 2015 unemployment rate was 0.2 of a percentage point lower than a year ago. The number of people employed decreased 11,743 over the month to 4,482,155, and increased 135,790 over the year. The number of people unemployed increased 3,328 over the month to 279,968, and declined 2,043 over the year.  read more...

  RALEIGH — The state's seasonally adjusted June unemployment rate was 5.8 percent, increasing 0.1 of a percentage point from May's revised rate. The national rate decreased 0.2 of a percentage point to 5.3 percent. North Carolina's June 2015 unemployment rate was 0.4 of a percentage point lower than a year ago. The number of people employed decreased 4,097 over the month to 4,493,682, and increased 151,584 over the year.
